Come si usa
Apri l'app e agita il telefono: comparirà una preghiera scelta a caso tra quelle raccolte nell'app, accompagnata da una doppia vibrazione. Agita di nuovo per passare alla successiva.
Tutto qui. Non serve registrarsi, non serve una connessione a Internet.
I comandi
- A− / A+Rimpiccioliscono e ingrandiscono il testo della preghiera. La dimensione scelta viene ricordata.
- Stella cerchiataApre l'elenco delle preghiere che hai salvato tra i preferiti.
- StellaAggiunge la preghiera visualizzata ai preferiti, o la rimuove se già presente.
- CondividiInvia la preghiera tramite Messaggi, Mail o qualsiasi altra app installata.
- IngranaggioApre le impostazioni: lingua e pulsante di scossa.
- InfoMostra la descrizione dell'app e il numero di versione.
Domande frequenti
Agito il telefono ma non compare nessuna preghiera
Il movimento dev'essere deciso, non un semplice spostamento. Se il telefono è appoggiato su un tavolo, o se preferisci non agitarlo, vai nelle impostazioni e attiva Mostra pulsante shake: comparirà un pulsante nella barra in basso che fa la stessa cosa con un tocco.
Come salvo una preghiera che mi piace
Tocca la stella nella barra in basso mentre la preghiera è visualizzata, e conferma. La ritroverai nell'elenco dei preferiti, con la data in cui l'hai aggiunta.
Come rimuovo una preghiera dai preferiti
In due modi: tocca di nuovo la stella mentre quella preghiera è a schermo, oppure scorri verso sinistra sulla riga corrispondente nell'elenco dei preferiti.
Il testo è troppo piccolo per me
Usa il pulsante A+ nella barra in basso: puoi ingrandire il testo fino a dimensioni molto generose. Se la preghiera non entra più nello schermo, basta scorrere. La dimensione impostata resta valida anche alla riapertura dell'app.
Posso cambiare la lingua?
Sì. Nelle impostazioni trovi la voce Lingua, con la scelta tra italiano, inglese e la modalità automatica, che segue la lingua del dispositivo. Cambiando lingua vengono tradotte sia l'interfaccia sia le preghiere.
Se disinstallo l'app perdo i preferiti?
Sì. I preferiti sono salvati sul dispositivo insieme all'app, quindi disinstallandola vengono rimossi. Non essendoci alcun account, non è possibile recuperarli in seguito.
L'app funziona senza Internet?
Sì, completamente. Le preghiere sono contenute nell'app stessa: puoi usarla anche in aereo o in luoghi senza copertura.
L'app raccoglie i miei dati?
No, nessuno. Preferiti e impostazioni restano solo sul tuo dispositivo. I dettagli sono nell'informativa sulla privacy.
Requisiti
Shake & Pray richiede iPhone con iOS 17 o successivo.
Se possiedi un iPhone più datato, che non può aggiornarsi a iOS 17, l'App Store ti proporrà automaticamente l'ultima versione compatibile con il tuo dispositivo.

Getting started
Open the app and shake your phone: a prayer will appear, picked at random from the ones collected in the app, along with a double vibration. Shake again for the next one.
That's all there is to it. No sign-up, no internet connection needed.
The controls
- A− / A+Make the prayer text smaller or larger. Your chosen size is remembered.
- Circled starOpens the list of prayers you've saved to your favorites.
- StarAdds the prayer on screen to your favorites, or removes it if it's already there.
- ShareSends the prayer via Messages, Mail, or any other app you have installed.
- GearOpens settings: language and the shake button.
- InfoShows the app description and version number.
Frequently asked questions
I shake the phone but no prayer appears
The movement needs to be a decisive shake, not just moving the phone around. If your phone is sitting on a table, or you'd rather not shake it, go to settings and turn on Show shake button: a button appears in the bottom bar that does the same thing with a single tap.
How do I save a prayer I like?
Tap the star in the bottom bar while the prayer is on screen, then confirm. You'll find it in your favorites list, along with the date you added it.
How do I remove a prayer from my favorites?
Two ways: tap the star again while that prayer is on screen, or swipe left on its row in the favorites list.
The text is too small for me
Use the A+ button in the bottom bar: you can enlarge the text to a very generous size. If the prayer no longer fits on screen, just scroll. Your chosen size stays put the next time you open the app.
Can I change the language?
Yes. In settings you'll find a Language option, letting you choose Italian, English, or automatic mode, which follows your device's language. Changing the language translates both the interface and the prayers.
If I delete the app, do I lose my favorites?
Yes. Favorites are stored on your device alongside the app, so deleting it removes them. Since there's no account, they can't be recovered afterwards.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes, completely. The prayers live inside the app itself: you can use it on a plane or anywhere without coverage.
Does the app collect my data?
No, none at all. Favorites and settings stay only on your device. The details are in our privacy policy.
Requirements
Shake & Pray requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
If you have an older iPhone that can't update to iOS 17, the App Store will automatically offer you the last version compatible with your device.
